A Letter from the Founder
Hey,
I’m Priyanka — Thank you for being here.
The Thought Co. has been a labour of love — and like anything deeply loved, it’s grown slowly, intentionally, and with care. Building this space has taken the kind of nurturance it takes to raise a child (sometimes more!). And while I carry it forward today, I do so with the most incredible team — a group of people who show up honestly, learn constantly, and pour their hearts into the work we do.

The name “The Thought Co.” was born from a dream shared by three wide-eyed aspiring psychologists — myself included. Life eventually took each of us on different paths, and I was graciously given the opportunity to carry the name forward. Even though I now stand at the helm, I hold that shared dream with deep respect.
From the very beginning, The Thought Co. was never meant to be just another therapy practice. To me, it’s always felt more like a Thought Centre — a place where many things could grow:
A thriving therapy space.
A community of psychologists who resist echo chambers.
A home for emotional wellness products that are practical and deeply rooted in psychology.
A hub for psychoeducation — playful, honest, and culturally relevant.
A place to translate psychological theory through an Indian social lens.
And now, a space gently leaning into research.
I’ll be honest — I’ve never had a fixed “goal” for The Thought Co. What I’ve always had is a vision for how it should feel.
I wanted it to feel safe. Curious. Human.
Like something you could come home to when things feel too heavy.
A space where mental health isn’t something you wait to talk about until it’s urgent — but something you engage with every day. Without shame. Without pressure. Without needing to “fix” yourself first.
Kind of like setting your bag down after a long day and finally being able to take a breath.
Our doors are open — truly.
Whether you’re starting therapy for the first time, feeling lost in your 20s or 30s, navigating a hard season, holding space for someone else, or just curious about mental health — you are welcome here.
We’re always widening that circle. Always asking: how can we make this space feel safer, softer, and more inclusive for more people?
We believe that mental health care should be stigma-free, accessible, and actively chosen.
That therapy should feel human, not clinical.
That being therapists first means being client-first, always.
That ethics and continuous learning aren’t just values — they’re our way of being.
That joy, play, curiosity, and vulnerability belong in every healing space.
And that how we feel matters as much as what we think — because feelings are where thought begins.
This shows up in our therapy practice, where we meet you exactly where you are.
In our emotional wellness products, designed by psychologists and rooted in care.
In our workplace programs, where we bring emotional literacy to leadership and teams.
In our workshops, where we make mental health engaging — not intimidating.
In our research, where we ask questions that matter to people, not just to textbooks.
Everything we create — from a journal prompt to a corporate engagement — is built with ethics, intention, and real people in mind.
At the end of the day, The Thought Co. is not a brand.
It’s a living, breathing reflection of the people behind it — and the people it serves.
We’re not perfect. We’re not trying to be.
But we are honest in our work. We’re therapists first, which means the client always comes first.
We show up with curiosity. We sit with the uncomfortable.
And we create space for something meaningful to emerge — whether it’s in a session, a product, or a passing moment on our site.
If anything we make helps lighten your load, even just a little, then we’re doing what we came here to do.
Thank you for being here.
Thank you for reading.
I hope The Thought Co. feels like a place you can return to — as often as you need.
With warmth,
Priyanka Varma
